Bio

I am retired from the Houston Independent School District with thirty six years of service. I served as an English teacher on the secondary and collegiate levels for eleven years (ten years with HISD and one year with the Los Angeles Unified School District...adjunct professor with the Houston Community College) and twenty-five years as a counselor on the secondary level in HISD. 

Additionally, I am a retired pastor from The United Methodist Church. I have taught a wide range of Christian Education courses within the church, the Christian community and Bible colleges. I have extensive experience in Christian counseling with teenagers and families through the church and community. 

We continue to offer our services to the young people in our communities and their families through volunteer efforts within the public schools, nonprofit organizations and churches. We also offer mentoring and tutoring services in academic areas (namely, English/ language arts, reading, writing and basic math) and college bound services (SAT/ ACT/ GED tutoring, scholarship search mentoring...) for students and families.
